Translation volunteer makes quake relief easier

Language barrier has brought difficulty to quake relief work after the 6.1-magnitude quake jolted the border region of Zogang County and Markam County in Chamdo Prefecture on Aug. 12. Learning the situation, Losang Tenzin came to the Zogang County immediately as a volunteer and translated for over 500 local residents only speaking Kham Tibetan.

Traffic to resume in Tibet quake zone

Traffic is expected to resume in a quake zone in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, as rescuers have cleared most of the roads that were affected by a quake on Monday. A 6.1-magnitude quake jolted the border of Zogang and Markam counties in Qamdo Prefecture on Monday, injuring 87 people.
