Lhasa has continuously increased investment in energy conservation and emission reduction since 2010, achieving substantial results through promoting new products, new energy and new materials, etc.

The infrastructure rebuilding project of Bayi Community, Chengguan District, Lhasa passed the acceptance test in Dec., 2010.

After the reconstruction, street lamps are electrified with solar energy, which can save energy and protect environment.

In addition, altogether 10.27 million yuan has been pumped into the geothermal heating project for the Damxung County Government and its nursery houses, with a total heating area of 15,000 square kilometers, saving 900-kWh electricity every year.
